Quick Review – Amazing! Soulful vocals accompanied by somewhat haunting rap vocals on an instrumental platform is what this EP boasts. Must listen for fans of all genres. The above download includes the files for the Mac OS as well.
As promised Sheeran released the most anticipated single off his upcoming free EP, The Slumdon Bridge featuring a rapper as he teased.
This collaboration is a win-win situation. British audiences who were unaware of Yela now finally gets to know him and American audiences who were definitely unaware of the talented Ed Sheeran finally gets to take a shot of him.
As for the track I got nothing but praise. A beautiful toned down, mellow melody accompanies rap-sung lyrics by both Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf. This mid-tempo track brags elegant composition and soulful vocals by Ed Sheeran and is a MUST DOWNLOAD.
Although this track features Yelawolf it is clear that Ed Sheeran is the ultimate show stealer allowing Yela’s skills to pass unrecognized. This track (& few previous ones) inspired me to go for his album & multiple EPs.
From ranches of Alabama to the streets of New York, Yela & Rock rolls in swiftly with a pimped out limo-type automobile. This is the second single off his debut album Radioactive.
This track has a touch of elegance most hip hop tracks lack. According to what I heard that is due to Kid Rock’s soulful vocals and the magical composers. This should’ve been his first single due to the vast potential this track has to attract fans from multiple genres.
If this doesn’t chart at the Top 40 I’ll gnaw off my left hand and then soak my right in boiling water. Also appearing in the visuals is the legend, DJ Kool Herc who is generally known as the father of hip hop.

Psst…what was Rock thinking when he took up rapping all those years ago. He is a naturally born country rocker!
Yela’s raps about the best things in his life which are deemed the worst things in life according to convention. The track is entirely made up of an instrumental beat and therefore adds to the flavor. I’m not a fan of rappers who work on samples but Yela does justice on this instrumental beat and therefore deserves lengthy applause.
Yelawolf enlists Canadian pop-rocker Fefe Dobson for this explosive and fast paced hip hop number. The track is off his recently released album Radioactiveand is NOT an official single but something I picked up on.
The track mostly features inaudible lyrics due to Yela’s fast paced rhyming but works well with the beat. The most notable part of the song would be Fefe Dobson’s chorus where the melody changes completely and the pop-rocker exudes her haunting vocals.
Yela’s debut major label album released on the 21st of November has apparently sold 41k units in the first week therefore debuting at #27 on the Billboard 200. If it was a normal day he would have definitely made it to the top 7.
Hip hop fan or not I would recommend this for at least a stream.
Yelawolf leaks another single off his forthcoming highly anticipated album Radioactive.
The track is made up of a simple piano melody accompanied by a synthetic beat and suitable effects. Yela and Em intensely fires rhyme after rhyme at an alarming pace with Three 6 Mafia’s first female MC backing them up.
I am actually disappointed by this single because I expected more especially with Eminem on it. I would conclude this post by saying that this song is boring!
Why is everyone releasing their albums on the 2st of November?

Shady Records newest signee is due with his debut studio album under a major label. Yelawolf had the following to say:
“I needed to add some important finishing touches to the album which resulted in the new release date,” said Yelawolf. “I have some surprises in store for the fans that have to be seen before the album comes out. It’s definitely worth the wait.”
Here’s the deal, Lil Jon and Yelawolf aren’t a good combination. Lil Jon’s name beside any artist these days tend to drive traffic away from that particular artist. Since Yelawolf is now signed to Shady Records he needs to keep himself away from C-list collaborators and focus more on his art rather than what the masses need.
This track would have been better if Yelawolf didn’t opt to rap about club happenings. The melody and beat are unique as hell but sadly the hook accompanied by Lil Jon is just urrrg.
The visuals although cliched were surprisingly slightly above par. The high points in the video are the two girls going at it in the pool whilst another gets a face full of cake at 1:32!
I shall conclude this post by saying that Yelawolf should have taken a different approach to this dark but sexy melody.

Watch out for Yela’s debut studio album, Radioactive with Shady Records somewhere during the last quarter of this year.
Well if you were surprised as I was when you saw that this video was located on the UbiSoft page then just be glad that the upcoming video game Driver: San Fransisco is just around the corner of been released. This track is bound to appear on his upcoming debut studio album, Radioactive via Shady & Intercope records.
The video is cross between real-life shots of the city of SF and city depicted in the game. I’m not that impressed with the 3D shots of the game since it looks primitive and unappealing to a video gamer. Also they should’ve used this video to promote the new features in the upcoming game.
The beat of the track is really dark as in a horror way as opposed to the regular Mafioso way. The message emitted is the regular “I got money and I’m unstoppable” type whereas his rhymes aren’t bad. Frankly it reminds me of a psychotic Slim Shady on anti-depressants.
