Willow “Do it Like Me (Rockstar) ” Video Premiere

Willow Smith has not been raking in the publicity as of late and that is a fact. Her only successful hit up to date remains to be “Whip My Hair” and every thing else went south. So what does this mean for Willow? Will she release her debut album Knees & Elbows? Or will she abandon the chances of super stardom altogether?

This video, albeit an unofficial one, proves that she has not given up on her career and has hope for a successful and independent future. “Do It Like Me” sounds much better than what I came across on her previous tracks; 21st Century Girl & Fireball.  It sounds edgy and powerful for a Pop record.

As for the video, it features Willow in a variety of locations across the globe and looks more appealing than her high-budgeted professional videos. I would like you to give this a try because it may change your stance on Willow IF you were beginning to get bored of her.

Willow Smith ft. Nicki Minaj “Fireball” Video Premiere

I thank myself for not waiting for this video to come out. Mainly because the video turned out to be an absolute failure and a cheap “looking” attempt. The track was a hot effort but sadly the video could not follow up to it.

This would serve as the Roc Nation artist’s third single off her delayed album Knees & Elbows due April 3rd. This may have started off as a Hype William film but somewhere along the way it morphed in to an amateurish production. On the bright side, Nicki’s dress was a cute.

Also this video was captured via a TV screen using a cell phone during the world premiere hence the colors look dodgy. It has not appeared on Willow’s VEVO account still. Updated with official VEVO video on Dec. 18th.

Willow Smith ft. Nicki Minaj “Fireball” Single Premiere

After a couple of months of internet silence the “Whip My Hair” hitmaker is back with a brand new single accompanied by Young Money’s first lady Nicki Minaj.

Unlike Willow’s previous two singles this is more on to the hip hop side with Willow reciting rhyme after rhyme bumping heads against Nicki Minaj. Surprisingly this effort by Willow is quite catchy although the chorus is a repetition of the same few syllables.

The beat and melody is what kept me listening to the track repeatedly. But I still prefer if Willow kept her focus on singing and the let the rapping be handled by her brother.
