The Dream “Roc” Video Premiere

The only reason I gave this track/video a chance is because it is due to appear on The-Dream’s upcoming album The Love IV: Diary of a Madman.

The beat/melody heard here is that of a slow R&B number that could have been pulled off if The-Dream had a set of decent vocals. But he hasn’t therefore he should not have attempted this track or any of his previous solo albums.
The visuals depict The-Dream and his hired friends chilling by the pool, BBQ’n meat, playing pool & video game and basically having a good PG time in non-PG attire.

No wonder piracy thrives in developed countries, people need it to make sure that they don’t accidentally buy some auto-tuned garbage.

The Dream ft. Big Sean “Ghetto” Video Premiere

I honestly do not know why Terius Nash alias The Dream even bothers to sing or write lyrics. He can do neither but compose good music although this video tends to question his composition skills.

This track is off Dream’s free mixtape titled 1977 and is not worthy of a video. The visuals are uncreative and boring, the music production is below par and the lyrics are plain horrible. The addition of Big Sean and his raucous bling did not do this video any justice either.

An overall weak attempt and a waste of time & money.

The Dream “Lone Gone” Video Premiere

So it is clearly evident by the first few seconds of this video that this was an independent effort and had no label funding whatsoever. But unfortunately for Terius Nash aka The – Dream the single itself was a wasted effort due to his inability to sing and as well as write lyrics. Thankfully the composition was up to par.

This video is off his recently released free mixtape titled 1977. In case you are still in the dark regarding this guy well, The – Dream is a producer by profession accredited with the production for Rihanna’s “Umberella” and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” to name a few.

The Dream “Murderer” Video Premiere

This song is inspired from the upcoming movie Colmbiana starring Zoe Saldana. The movie is written by the guys responsible for the exhilarating Liam Neeson flick, Taken and the creator of the original Nikita.

The beat of this song suits the movie trailer perfectly but alas not the vocals. The Dream’s auto-tuned vocals completely destroys the beat, in a bad way. In my opinion the composition should have been handled by The Dream and the vocals should have been given to another professional party.

In case you are still wodenring who The Dream is, he was the guy responsible for massive hits such Rihanna’s “Umbrella” & Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”. He is also responsible for production credits of artistes such as LL Cool J, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey etc. As of today he has released three albums and has gotten divorced once.
