Plan B “Ill Manors” Single Premiere

If you live anywhere in the UK and haven’t heard about Plan B then you should be ashamed of yourself. By profession he cannot be categorized only as a musician because in his spare time he directs movies and also acts. His music does not pertain to a single genre as he is known to dabble in soul, hip hop, jazz and whatnot. Most of the time they are amalgamated into one steaming pot of swag.

After nearly two years Plan B is back with the debut single off his upcoming album, Ill Manors which will also act as the soundtrack for the movie of the same name.

Hands down, this track is far more superior than many other rap efforts I’ve heard from the UK and the US in the past few days. The beat exudes a melodramatic vibe engineered using a variety of drums. The lyrics focus on poverty and anger towards rich corporates who operate above the system.

If you love quality rap music then this is for you. Lyrics and purchase info can be found on his Sound Cloud .

Plan B ft. Elton John & Paloma Faith “Hard Times” Single Premiere

plan B hard times

I had never heard of Plan B until now but I can’t say that I’ve never seen him because he appeared alongside Emma Robert’s in the movie 4.3.2.1 and many other movies. He is also set to be in process of releasing his first film as a director. Apart from acting he also pursues singing & rapping and has released two studio album up to now and a third is said to be in works currently. This single is off his second album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks.

This is one beautiful single and doesn’t include any rapping at all, this was apparently released recently with the sole intention of being a charity single for the victims of the Japan Tsunami and Pakistan floods. No wonder both Elton John & Paloma Faith decided to jump in on this number because it’s just beauuuuuuuutiful.

Oh also this English rapper/singer/actor recently snubbed efforts from his label for a collaboration with Jay Z so he could break into the Stateside market.
