Monica “Until It’s Gone” Video Premiere

After a not so successful debut with Rick Ross, Monica takes the stage for a solo effort for her upcoming album New Life which is probably due early next Spring.

This track is better than her previous mainly because the songstress decided to provide a soulful R&B experience similar to those produced back in the 90′s. This mid-tempo song is very much different to her previous due to it’s simple and nostalgic melody.

The visuals feature actor Brian J. White who recently appeared alongside Indian sex-goddess Mallika Sherawat in the movie Politics of Love. The track was produced by long time collaborator & friend rapstress Missy Elliott.

Monica ft. Rick Ross “Anything (To Find You)” Video Premiere

Monica the 90′s R&B sensation is back to revive her career by providing the collapsing music industry a chance to listen to some real music. The sound emanated on this track is reminiscent with the R&B sound ranging back from the 90′s to the early 2000′s.

The single was suppose to feature Lil Kim but unfortunately her vocals were cut out at the very last minute hence not making the final cut. There was plenty of backlash from both Monica & Kim at the record label for the injustice caused.

The only problem I see in this song is Ross’ verse which is again a repetition of the same things he raps about. I’m not saying that Ross’ addition itself was a mistake because his husky voice is the perfect ingredient that perfects this number but lyrically it does no justice to the hard comeback effort from Monica.
