This would be MGK’s second single off his upcoming untitled debut album under Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. This track was also featured on HTC’s newest advertisement.
I was never a fan of MGK but upon hearing that the track was produced by none other than Alex Da Kid (Love The Way You Lie, Airplanes, Invisible etc.) I decided to give it a listen. And I must say that I’m highly impressed with MGK’s empowering wordplay going hand in hand with Alex’s drum-heavy melody. Not to mention Ester’s beautiful vocals.
An overall good attempt by all three entities involved in this track. This track would serve as a perfect stepping stone for singer-songwriter Ester Dean who was responsible for a myriad of R&B/pop hits from back then until now.
Ester Dean may have not been given the appropriate accreditation for Minaj’s infectious hit “Superbass” but people who love good music knows the woman behind many of these hits.
Must listen especially for hip hop audiences. Now available on iTunes & other file sharing sites.
