Lana Del Rey “Blue Jeans” Video Premiere

There are plenty of reasons to like Lana Del Rey such as her unemotional vocals, the cold music that accompanies it and her oldies Hollywood glamor that seems to add to the alluring & unorthodox music she produces. This video bears no exception to that.

This is the third single & video for her recently released album Born To Die which debuted at the number 1 position in many countries and number 2 in the States.

This is another joyless ballad of love and heartbreak accompanied by a tasteful video. The black and white clip shows Del Rey and her leading man (from her previous video) swimming around a pool and heating up its contents. At the same time a couple of crocodiles/alligators are shown circling the glamorous pair.

Lana Del Rey “Yayo” Single Premiere

Another track from the elegant and down to earth Lana Del Rey. And I cannot describe the feeling it exudes. With just a mellow strumming of a guitar & the sounds of a few subtle instruments, Del Rey recites her verses in a laid back manner only to produce an array of entrancing whispers.

From what I hear this track comes from a different era. Just beautiful.

Another track from her upcoming album Born To Die.

Lana Del Rey “Off To The Races” Single Premiere

Whoa! If you remember Lana Del Rey from her depressing but serene song “Video Games” then this track will make you jump. Del Rey enlists more beats and less piano alongside on what might be another leak from her upcoming album Born To Die.

At times the track is sounds murky but somewhere along the way it exudes a different vibe. All thanks to a series of varied drum beats that blend into her style of music perfectly. Mind you, this doesn’t sound like anything a modern artist would do but a combination of what-was and what-is.

Confirmed tracks are as follows,

Video Games
Blue Jeans
Born To Die
Kinda Outta Luck

Await for the full tracklist in the coming weeks. Until then enjoy the above tracks to get a feel of what this unorthodox songstress has to offer.

Lana Del Ray “Born To Die” Video Premiere

The third video off her 2012 album Born To Die and this time the songstress takes an expensive approach after signing with a major label.

Another beautiful and mild track from the arty newcomer which deserves applause just like her previous. Unlike her previous visual efforts that made use of classic Super 8 footage, Del Ray has opted for a modern form of film making while preserving the artfulness she was known to deliver.

The single will be made available on the 23rd of January via iTunes and other music networks. They should have inducted Del Ray to provide material for the Breaking Dawn soundtrack.

Lana Del Rey “Video Games” Video

Her music is hauntingly elegant, her vocals are old fashionably strong, and her video is exquisite. Introducing Lana Del Rey an upcoming singer-songwriter from the US who took the world by storm through this track which ironically is still to chart in the US.

You could call this Indie-Pop or like me, you could just call this great music. This track is made up of an mellow instrumental melody (is that a harp I hear?) with an almost unheard beat of a drum.

The video adds more flavor to this one of a kind song by featuring 80′s, 90′s and much older footage in and around Hollywood with the songstress appearing in a simple background in a very smart manner.

This will serve as the first single off her upcoming studio album Born To Die due in 2012.

A very relaxing song is what I call it. A must watch & a must download.
