Karmin “I Told You So” Video Premiere

The newly engaged couple is back for more. But this time around the duo drop their Pop sound for a more demented sound while Amy Heidemann raps. This track appeared on Karmin’s’ debut EP, Hello which was released just 4 days ago under Epic Records.

Amy Heidemann plays a mental patient while her partner in crime (& life) Nick Noonan plays the doctor. Karmin takes a 360 spin on their style by adopting a more hip hop sound fueled with rapid fire spitting.

Sadly, this is not one of their best performances because Karmin is best known for their quirky Pop numbers which are catchy and tasteful, everything this track is not.

Karmin “Brokenhearted” Video Premiere

Karmin, the pair consisting of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan who are currently engaged to be married, released their second video off their major studio album debut titled Hello (due May 8th).

Their previous song “Crash Your Party” wasn’t exactly a masterpiece and neither is this but the Pop effort isn’t a complete waste of time either. It does have the catchy factor and an upbeat sound but is it really worth purchasing? You decide.

Karmin “Hello” album cover

Former YouTube sensations and current Billboard climbers, Karmin is dead serious about their upcoming Epic Records debut and the above album artwork bears witness to that.

Nick Noonan spoke to Billboard about Hello. “It’s like the covers on crack,” Noonan said. “A lot of rapping, a lot of earth tones, a lot of big drums and big pop choruses.”

Karmin “Crash Your Party” Video Premiere

The newly signed Youtube duo known as Karmin just released their debut music video for their track “Crash Your Party”.

Like I mentioned before this track gives off a Pop sound but not the kind we here today. The video strangely enough entertained me from start to finish. Karmin does not try to garner attention by sexing up the video like many Pop videos these days do, but rather by performing in a quite entertaining manner. That’s how a video is supposed to be, especially Pop videos.

Kudos for spending time on devising the video concept.

Karmin “Crash Your Party” Single Premiere

Karmin, the collective known for their unorthodox cover songs has finally unleashed their premiere single from a major label. The duo’s album is set to come out in early spring 2012 through L.A. Reid’s newest venture, Epic Records.

Although the title says “Crash Your Party”, this wasn’t what I expected from the duo. This track is undoubtedly a Pop song but with soft sound that isn’t riddled with a cliche meaning. The spotlight is entirely hogged by Amy although Nick is known to work behind the scenes

This is not bad, but not something I would listen to on repeat.
