Releasing May 23rd

Cruel Summer will make its way to the Cannes Film Festival on the above given date. This short film is said to have been inspired by Kanye’s upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation of the same name.

The film was described as “a fusion of short film and art installation” and an “immersive seven-screen experience.”

After its debut at the Cannes Film Festival the movie will open for the general public for two days; 24th & 25th of May. Tickets can be purchased here.

Kanye West “Lost In The World” Video Premiere

Just yesterday, out of the blue appeared a mysterious video which was accompanied by Kanye’s name next to the title. To make things more confusing the video carried the title of song which appeared on Kanye’s 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Despite how good it sounds “Lost In The World” interpolates Bon Iver’s “Woods” and a few other unheard tracks.Additional vocals were provided by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Nonetheless this sounds really good except that this isn’t hip-hop/rap but rather a form of indie rock.

This arty & classy project was directed by Ruth Hogben.

Kanye West ft. Dj Khaled “To Way Too Cold/Theraflu” Single Premiere

So, last week a brand new single from the G.O.O.D. music camp hit the interwebs and it belonged to none other than the controversial Kanye West. Upon release it was titled “Theraflu” but now after the company behind the over-the-counter cold medication drug of the same name denounced the track, it has been renamed to “To Way Too Cold”.

The track is by no means a legendary piece but it does sound different. Unfortunately, it does not scream Kanye West but more Dj Khaled or some other overrated C-lister. “To Way Too Cold” has Kanye calling out his haters for criticizing his failed fashion line, addressing his involvement with Kim Kardashian and simply venting out his frustrations over the manufactured gossip revolving around him.

I still did not hear what Dj Khaled provided on this track. This may or may not appear on the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album. Anyhow, if you are a hardcore hip hop enthusiast then this is for you!

Psst…The rumor mill is buzzing with Kim Kardash’s and Kanye’s recent link-up. Some call it a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album while others claim that it is true love *gag*.

Jay Z & Kanye West “N*****s In Paris” Video Premiere

After “No Church In The Wild” this might be the most notable track on Jay & Kanye’s collaborative album, Watch The Throne. This also the second video & single off their collaborative album mentioned above.

The beat is explosive, the lyrics aren’t that bad but what matters is the overall end-product which turned out to be quite a club banger. Alas, the video is not that entertaining due to the 3D-fied concert footage despite been addled with controversial symbolism and epileptic lighting.

This is a must have for all hip hop enthusiasts. And is a formidable listen for fans of other genres.

Jay Z & Kanye West “No Church In The Wild” Single Streaming

One of hip hop’s most highly anticipated albums next to Dr. Dre’s ever delayed Detox would be Jay’s and Kanye’s Watch The Throne which unleashed to world the moniker that is known as The Throne.
Whilst the album’s debut single “Otis” remained quite mediocre to my ears there are a few tracks which failed capturing the attention of the masses.

One of those tracks would be the Frank Ocean assisted song “No Church in the Wild”.
The Odd Future WGKTW member lends his haunting voice to the sinister beat making the single stand out quite a lot from the rest. Having Frank Ocean provide his vocals on this particular track would be another reason this single out does every other collaboration on the album including Beyonce’s.

Sadly this is one of those tracks addled by a variety of samples hence making it not original but yet catchy in a very bleak way.

Jay Z & Kanye West “Otis” Video Premiere

The duo’s debut video off their joint album, Watch The Throne which is predicted to sell over 500k copies during its first week of release.

The melody is simply awesome because it was sampled off Otis Redding’s track titled “Try A Little Tenderness” . Unfortunately this is one of those songs where both the guys flaunt their wealth and their success.

The video has Jay & Kanye modifying an expensive Maybach and turning it into a Back-To-The-Future kind of car. And I thought he was dissing Rick Ross.
Also Aziz Ansari (Park & Recreation, Get Him To The Greek, Scrubs) makes an appearance

Henceforth Jay Z & Kanye West will go under the moniker The Throne.

Jay Z & Kanye West “Watch The Throne” album cover

Rumored to be made of pure metal and then photographed. This here is the album cover of the duo’s upcoming joint album titled, Watch The Throne. The tentative tracklist can be found in the link. Although there isn’t an original release date as such the album is rumored to be dropping somewhere in August.

Kanye West “Mama’s Boyfriend” Single

Apparently this is a leftover single from his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Compared to almost every track in that album I must say that this is far more superior lyrically and melodically.

This is the real Kanye, the more soulful rapper the world wants.

Jay Z & Kanye West “Watch the Throne” tentative tracklist

This just a tentative tracklist from the duo’s upcoming joint album. Also their first single “H.A.M” is not included therefore the tracklist is bound to change. As for putting Bruno Mars & Beyonce on a single song is just a waste of talent. There’s no proper release date as yet but we’ll let you know once the official date is made available.

1. Lift Off (ft. Beyonce & Bruno Mars)
2. Murder To Excellence
3. Illest Motherfucker Alive
4. Why I Love You So (Guilt Trip)
5. That Shit Crazy
6. Living So Italian
7. Who Gonna Stop Me
8. Whole Lifetime
9. We Are Young
10. Anthem

Kanye West “Monster” Video Premiere

So the previous video of Kanye’s “Monster” wasn’t the proper version. Apparently this is and features Jay Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and British sensation Bon Iver. Next to the pop fueled single “All of the Lights” this is the only other listenable song from Yeezy’s  recently (Nov. 2011)  album.

The best verses from good to bad-

1. Rick Ross ( as much as I hate him, he does a pretty decent opening job)
2. Jay Z (need I say anything?)
3. Nicki Minaj (after the first few lines she loses her flow)
4. Kanye West (too long and only few artistes can manage to rap for so long flawlessly)

Even after months of editing and controversy with various womens’ groups they still couldn’t get hold of Bon Iver to appear in the video. :S
