Game ft. Kendrick Lamar “The City” Video Premiere

Let’s be serious for a minute, Game’s career has gone down the toilet. His recently album barely debuted at the top. His tracks do not chart properly on any chart nor are they any good to be replayed over and over again. All three of his prior singles are collaborative efforts therefore making his dedicated fans question his ability to carry a beat alone.

His rhymes heard here are not as bad as one would think especially when compared to his previous efforts. But his constant use of the N-word & the M-word can be deemed as an excuse for gaps in his vocabulary.

This track features up and comer Kendrick Lamar, who is quite a skilled rapper by the way and it also interpolates “Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young” by Fire Inc (according to Wikipedia). “The City” is the fourth single off his fourth album, The R.E.D. Album.

rating: ♥♥♥ (If you love hard-emotional hip hop, then this is it)

Psst…Game is currently preparing for his fifth album which is to be titled F.I.V.E. (Fear Is Victories Evolution). Creative!

Game ft. Tyler, The Creator “Martians vs. Goblins” Video Premiere

“…Snatch up Rihanna and throw her into the front of a fking train” raps Game on his latest video off his barely successful fourth album titled, The Red Album. The ex G-Unit soldier also enlists the diabolical Tyler, The Creator for an entire verse and the over-glorified Lil Wayne for a stingy chorus.

Thankfully Wayne does not appear in the video but his Kanye West chorus rip off does. Either way both Game and Tyler goes on a series of character assassinations which unbelievably sounded good. Tyler definitely still has issues with Bruno Mars and also homosexuality (albeit he claims that he is not homophobic). Game as usual does what every rapper does to gain attention and that is name-drop.

The visuals are equally haunting to the 1500 or Nothin produced beat. It looks rather similar to Eminem’s “3AM” concept but not as rich and eerie.

If you love tracks that diss everyone on the planet and at the same time able to sound psychotic & sadistic, then overall this is a good effort and deserves your attention.

Game ft. Tyler, The Creator “Martians vs Goblins” Single Premiere

Well, this is reaaaaaaaaaally dark and should be rated R. Tyler takes shots at Bruno Mars, which Mars hasn’t answered to, and many other artistes for no particular reason. Game mentions Eriyka Badu in passing.

Also Aftermath rapper Game appeared on CNN yesterday to apologize for his prank on Twitter which caused the LA Sheriff’s phone lines to get clogged up. It all began when Game tweeted about an internship at his record label Black Wall street. Unfortunately for his devoted fans the number which was tweeted later (separate tweet) was actually the number of the LA Sheriff’s department. This had caused quite a ruckus with their phone lines that would have made them miss important 911 calls.

Game explained on CNN that it was a prank from one of his friends where the “friend” had taken his phone and had been tweeting random phone numbers out of which one was coincidentally the Sheriff’s number.
It was later announced that the LA Sheriff’s department wasn’t going to press charges on him since he immediately went on live TV and apologized for his mistake.

This is the confirmed tracklist released to the public by Game’s party, so please  disregard my previous post. At this very moment I’m only enjoying “Pot of Gold” from the tracks he had already released and I’m looking forward to checking out the single with Nelly Furtado. As for the rest of the album, just by a glance at the tracklist I can forewarn you that this is going to suck bad.

Game ft. Chris Brown “Pot of Gold” Video Premiere

The much awaited video for the most listen worthy song of Game’s upcoming R.E.D. album is finally here. After his first disaster of a video and single, “Red Nation” which was refused airplay due to its various display of gang related insignia & repetitive and unoriginal lyrics this would come off as an uber surprise.

Pay no attention to Game because this single is all about Chris Brown’s chorus. Beautiful and unique are just the mild adjectives to describe this single. Now I really wish that I had paid more attention when learning to play the guitar :(

Though the spot – light,
Is not for me,
I close my eyes and imagine I’m home,
I miss the days, when, life was simple,
But if I never tried to follow that rainbow,
In search of the pot of gold
(woooah woooah)
In search of the pot of gold

Game ft. Chris Brown “Pot of Gold” Single Premiere

Holy Gwakamoli, I downloaded this with great fear because so far the singles released from Game’s upcoming album R.E.D. aren’t that good but this track is stands out tall and mighty compared to all the other crap he has released so far. This isn’t a Rosay poppin’, Floor hitting floor type of single that Chris Brown has recently been featured on. This song is different, very different especially taking into account previous material by Game.

The track is composed of a acoustic beat with the very distinct sound of a guitar and tom-tom drum (I guess that’s what its called) which lights up the melody which makes it more bearable to listen to compared to the every other computer generated anthems.

Raekwon ft. Game, Pharrell, Busta Rhymes & Dj Khaled “Rock ‘n’ Roll (remix)” Single Premiere

In case you are wondering who Raekwon is, he used to be the frontrunner of the hit hip hop crew Wu-Tang Clan back in the day. This here is the official remix of a single out of his solo album released few months back, called “Rock ‘n Roll”.

According to hardcore Raekwon fans this is one of the best singles off his album but according to others this is the only good song from his entire album. My opinion is that I like this song. I have no way of explaining why therefore you yourself need to take a shot at it.

Totally worth the hassle of downloading in case you are into hip hop regardless its sub-genre and also check out the original single as well while you are at it.

Game ft. Lil Wayne “Red Nation” Video Premiere

Awww man, this is one sick beat. Sadly the rapping is not up to par. Game did an okay job, nothing special though whereas Lil Wayne could have added more instead of repeating the same verse 3 times. This song would have been a constant head waver if it had a catchy chorus.

As for the video, it reminded me of Weezy’s, “Drop The World” and Jay Z’s, “Run This Town” although with a very cheap look and feel to it.
