Fun ft. Janelle Monae “We Are Young” Video Premiere

Under 24 hours of blogging about this amazing song the band decided to release a video and I’m not disappointed for the repeated posts because this song is worth it!

The entire video takes place inside a bar in ultra slow motion. Fun is shown performing on stage while the bar-goers are seen beating the crap out of each in slow motion. A man smashes a glass on a woman’s head and she retaliates with equal force and as a result the entire bar erupts into violence. Flying Pinata’s, streams of liquor and shattering glass is all seen in this video not forgetting Janelle Monae appearing in the midst of all the violence.

This is the band’s first single & video of their upcoming sophomore album Some Nights.

Nonetheless this is a great video to back up the uber awesome song. More Info.

2:04 is not hot but kinda disturbing.

Fun ft. Janelle Monae “We Are Young” Single

I first heard this on Glee, then on WWE’s Slammy Awards but could not download it due to my forgetfulness. Then finally upon hearing it on the tv show Chuck I downloaded it and have been listening to it on full blast repeatedly.

This beautiful, beautiful track is from the Indie Pop/Rock group known as Fun and it features R&B/Soul newcomer Janelle Monae of Bad Boy Records. This is the band’s first single off their upcoming sophomore album Some Nights.

As an avid listener of hip hop, R&B & other urban genres, I don’t find Indie songs appealing, most of the time. This is one of those rare Indie tracks that I found truly beautiful in a very classical sense and therefore I urge you to give this a listen.
