Frank Ocean “Thinking About You” Video Premiere

The confusing thing about this equally confusing video is that it was released in the final quarter of 2011 but the video was removed by Frank Ocean’s label. The track however did not impact charts, as one would have thought, in spite of its uniqueness.

From all the tracks Ocean has released from his upcoming untitled major label debut “Thinking About You” might be the most beautiful and the least gloomy. Yes, in a way it has the signature gloom that Ocean was made famous for but with ample amounts of straightforward love. No wonder he is a part of Odd Future (OFWGKTA).

The track was originally written by Ocean for Roc Nation’s Bridget Kelly but later ended up with Frank Ocean’s vocals. Bridget Kelly’s version can be found here.

I understand if you found Frank Ocean’s prior music very depressing in spite of my high praise for the guy but I assure you that this is a total overhaul of his style.

Frank Ocean “Swim Good” VIdeo Premiere

Frank Ocean born Christopher Breaux is a singer/song-writer who is currently involved with the cult rap crew Odd Future. This track is off his debut major label mixtape titled, Nostalgia, Ultra.

Upon listening to the first few seconds of this song was I partially hooked mainly because of the beat & melody but as the track progressed I started to actually feel a liking towards this song. By the third consecutive listen I can safely say that I’m entirely hooked.

I suggest you give this a try, although this is a R&B track the video is nothing you would expect. Also what’s up with the mask resembling a Panda?
