Foster The People “Houdini” Video Premiere

Apart from the fact that FTP specializes in otherworldly music they are also known for their entertaining videos. “Houdini” is one such music video.

This is FTP’s fifth single off their debut album, Torches which was also nominated for a Grammy back in February.

According to my ears this can be classified as Indie-Dance Pop reminiscent of music from the yesteryear that is often labeled as Classical Music. Therefore I urge you to give this a listen because it may be the kind of song you were craving for.

This is definitely going on my playlist.

Foster The People “Call It What You Want” Video Premiere

Independent music as you know boasts certain amounts of diverseness from one song to another. You could categorize certain bands as Indie rock or pop outfits, but at the end of the day not a single one of these bands will have anything in common except for the fact that their music is different from one another.

Foster The People too are such a band. The band’s debut single “Pumped Up Kicks” created a massive buzz and was nominated for numerous awards therefore shining the light on the band’s unorthodox approach to music.

This would be the third single of their debut album, Torches and again is utterly and completely different from their previous singles.

Indie music, as I see it, is an ever changing form of music that can never be held down with ropes, chains or reasoning of any kind. Kudos to that!
