Dev ft. Enrique Iglesias “Naked” Video Premiere

Apparently this track was to appear on the re-release of Enrique’s 2010 album, Euphoria but after the project got shelved the track appeared on Dev’s debut studio album, The Night The Sun Came Up (US version only).

The track was produced by The Cataracs and therefore automatically qualifies for a dance number. But strangely enough, “Naked” sounds quite fresh and relaxing in spite of being of EDM genre.

I highly recommend in listening to this. At least give it a chance because it will undoubtedly surprise you considering the prior content released by Dev.

Dev “In My Trunk” Video Premiere

Ever since “Like a G6″ was released Dev has been the center of attention on every Cataracs production. As result the Electro Pop/Hop vocalist was signed to a major label and has been in the process of recording an album. The album, The Night The Sun Came Up was released to European markets sometime ago but did not fair well which resulted in her US release been rescheduled over and over again.

This is the third cut from the above mentioned album and it does look promising in spite of its obvious shortcomings. “In My Trunk” emits a banging beat coupled together with unfortunate lyrics and a computer generated chorus. But the rest of the verses seems to be unhindered by any sort of computer interference hence showcasing Dev’s vocal chops.

The video although a typical cheap attempt does not interfere with the songs catchy nature. If promoted right, according to today’s trend in music, this track will definitely prosper.

Dev “Dancing Shoes” Video Premiere

Dev, the songstress known for her auto-tuned vocals and being the thid wheel of The Cataracs unleashes a fury of potential in this toned down upbeat track.

This might be the fourth single off her UK album, The Night The Sun Came Up or this could be the first single for her US album of the same name which is yet to be released.

Anyhow, the beat is reminiscent of uptempo Pop music made in the 90′s which is backed up the slight use of synthesizers and predominant use of instruments to emit a rock-like sound.

The visuals are equally good with the Pop singer trying to channel in Blind Melon’s hit “No Rain”.

Dev “Perfect Match” Single Premiere

This single came out as a huge surprise to me mainly because of Dev’s change in musical tone. Most people may remember Dev for the quirky little mini-Gaga’ish (accompanied by Auto-Tune) thing she was but did anyone know her for he pleasant vocal talents?

This single is a combination of acoustical sound and non-tampered raw vocals with meaningful lyrics. The single is by far the best of Dev that I have heard and I urge you anti-Dev fans to check this out because of its sheer difference compared to her previous efforts. This supposed to be on her upcoming album, The Night The Sun Came Up which due to be released in September.

Dev “In The Dark” Video Premiere

The only reason I checked this out was because of a well written review accompanied this video. This single is based on a very catchy melody which is very similar to a certain European produced single back in the day which still being played at fashion shows, sorry I don’t know the name of that particular track.
This single comprises of the same sound but with a different deviation to it. Will be a hit in the days to come especially on modelling runways.

The video is pretty basic and standard for this kind of single, flashy jewellery, weird hairstyles and creepy hands groping the pretty lady’s naked body. Before I forget this single, just like all of Dev’s songs is produced by The Cataracs
